When I received orientation training for my current position, something that was stressed in our training was the requirement for students to produce either spoken or written output. That should be the goal for each lesson. Both this unit and the previous unit seemed quite familiar to me because the position I hold use similar language for teaching English as TEFL does, such as controlled activities and guided activities. Learning about this in a skills development workshop a few months ago was very beneficial and it helped me shape my games and activities a lot more as I find my students need a lot of controlled activities to feel like they can participate.
