This unit discusses the present verb tense, one of the 3 verb tenses in the English language (Present, Past, and Future). The present tense is divided into 4 main tenses: the simple present tense (e.g. I brush my teeth everyday), the present perfect tense (e.g. I have eaten Chinese food before), the present continuous (e.g. I am brushing my teeth), and the present perfect continuous (I have been eating Chinese food since I was six years old). Each of the tenses has it?s own form and usages. It was interesting to learn about the typical mistakes that students make and also to learn about different ways to facilitate learning the tenses.
