It is very clear that an energized and warm attitude is very helpful in teaching a class. Staying engaged with students as much as possible instead of writing on the board for an extended time without interaction is also quite helpful. I felt uncomfortable watching the first video with his excessive pacing and grimacing face. When he began to use the students' names, and smile, and even incorporate appropriate humor the lesson was much more pleasing for all parties. I do wish the second video had the same student asking about the verb \"could\"; I would have like to see how he handled that question in the second, more effective lesson.
