In this unit I learned the importance of visual aids. Visual aids can make class more exciting and practical. Authentic materials can be something from radio, tv, or movies. IT helps to get the students attention, make class less boring, and shows the students how the lesson at hand applies to real life. Created materials are materials that the teacher creates on his or her own that helps the students practice their skills during the study phase. The lesson plan i created on the task sheet of this unit revolved around setting up appointments and I was able to use what I learned here to set up a lesson plan where students watch video's of conversations where people are setting up appointments.
