Unit ten concerned the evaluation and testing of students. I learned the importance of reviewing work that has already been done throughout the class, and discussing aims of each lesson to ensure students what they should have been learning in the class. Placement, progress, diagnostic and practice tests are also known tests that are given to students learning a foreign language. A placement test is designed to let teachers place new students into the correct classes. Progress tests are used occasionally during the class to gauge how the students are doing. Diagnostic tests are similar to placement tests given at the start of courses to see what students know and to help the teacher prepare lessons.
