This course has been beneficial to me in so many ways. Until this course, I had never taken any type of training courses this in depth before. It has not only equipped me to be able to teach better than I have been but I have also gained a new found confidence and a peace about teaching. I have always enjoyed helping and teaching things to others but because I knew I had not been fully trained, I always felt like an imposter somewhat; however, this course touched on every area I know I have struggled with as an ESL teacher. I am very grateful for this course and I am very excited about things come. Currently, as I stated in previous units, I am an interpreter-translator, but I have the opportunity to teach Business english as well to some of the japanese staff within my company. So that being said, I have already started using some of the techniques in those classes, but also, I plan to teach full-time in the near future, and I know that everything I have learned will be used and helpful to me as a teacher and to my students. In addition, this course has been my first stepping stone to further my education as a teacher. So in the fall, the next challenge is to start my MA in applied Linguistic at the University of Birmingham-UK. Therefore, I am very excited about the opportunities, the possibilities, and just pure growth that I will experience in the near future. Thank you ITTT for all that you do and have done for me.
