I have gained a lot from this course, the main things for me was the lesson planning, the ESA style of teaching and some of the grammar sections. Sometimes with being a native english speaker we tend to just automatically speak correctly without always thinking about the grammar, structure or tenses behind it. I also feel it has made me more aware as a teacher of my students needs and interests, and also of my own behaviour in the classroom and the way I communicate with my students.
I will definitely start to use the lesson plans now, whereas before I just made a few simple notes. I have also already started to use the ESA style of teaching now. I have changed the way I communicate with my students and try to make things a lot clearer for them now.
I also feel more confident now when teaching grammar and have a better understanding of the grammatical structures and tenses.
