I have learned a lot from this course that can improve my teaching at my current job in the future. Some of the biggest things I will highlight. One thing that stands out is the use of different resources in the classroom. My lessons are too heavily based on the course book, and we don't spend enough time doing other kinds of activities. In the future my lessons will be very diverse, and will be less tiresome and repetitive for students. Students won't be expecting the same thing every day. Another thing that stands out is learning the basics of grammar. My knowledge of how english grammar works has definitely improved and I will carry this knowledge over to my students. I am already doing more organized lessons where my students have a better understanding of english grammar such as the past simple and it is because of this course I am more confident with teaching grammar. And I have learned a lot of new ideas for my class through this course. Before I was limited in terms of fun things to do with my students. Now I feel like I have an unlimited supply of activities, games, warm ups, and exercises for my students. Again this will keep there interest longer and make my class more enjoyable overall. Being someone who teaches children I have learned to deal with children better than I could before.
