I have learned a lot about my own language. I find it ironic that I find myself wanting to become an english teacher, when growing up and going through grade school, english was one of my least favorite subjects. At times through this course, I felt like I was right back in high school grammar. I have noticed that spoken english is far from grammatically correct and slang is a big part of a native speaker’s vocabulary. I was able to, step by step, analyze what my strengths and weaknesses are and take detailed notes on what I still need improvement on. What I enjoyed learning from this course is how to plan lessons and keep the class entertained and productive. There are so many great tips and resourced provided. I plan on being able to build on my new knowledge by observing english classes and look forward to job placement in other countries where I can really make a difference.
