I have gained a large amount of knowledge on how to structure lessons plans and feel very confident walking into a classroom teaching from a lesson plan. I feel that I have gained so much in terms of the english language, being a native speaker does not mean that you can't learn new things about your language. It surprised me actually how much I have forgotten over the years or that I was never actually taught at school so overall an excellent refresher with some new aspects of learning for me.
Coming from a sporting background and from achieving a Sports Education degree I assumed the lesson plans were going to be easy but I actually found them quite challenging. I am currently living on Hong Kong as a swimming teacher and when I leave here I plan to travel around teaching english to under privileged children and this qualification has enabled me to do this. I would love to teach in Mongolia and Thailand.
