I feel that it has given me an additional boost of confidence that I most certainly would lack if I were to pursue teaching without it. It has helped me to see english in a whole new light and has substantially improved my absorption of the Portuguese language, which I have been simultaneously learning. I have also begun to discuss with my wife the options that the tefl certification provides in regards to teaching in other foreign locals. There are currently a number of countries that are paying TEFL Certified individuals to come and teach at extremely nice salaries. These same places are even paying for flights and boarding of qualified teachers and most require a TEFL Certification, which is only available by completing the TEFL Course.
Another extremely valuable reason to complete a TEFL Course is to have access to the great resources that are available all in one place. There is access to a qualified tutor and the feedback from the lesson completion that comes is very valuable in the formation and assimilation of the studied skills.
