This course has definitely been an eye opener for me. It’s one thing to be a fluent english speaker and another thing to understand the mechanics behind this fluency. Much of the materials I learned were things that I generally took for granted when speaking or writing. Also, once in a while, I give photography workshops. I discovered through this course how I can better organize and give these workshops.
I would like to put the knowledge I’ve learned into practice. Since it will be hard for me to actually teach in proper institutes at the moment, I will try my new skills on friends who are not so fluent in english. Although I don’t have a course book I should be able to create a small sort of program for them after an initial needs analysis. At the same time I will try to attend english classes at some of the language centers so I can see experienced teachers in action.
Eventually I hope to do a bit of traveling and will use my english teaching knowledge to supplement my freelance photography work.
