I have gained working knowledge of how to teach basic english grammar and other english concepts. This will be exceedingly helpful when entering the classroom for the first time. Though I have teaching experience with yoga, teaching a language is a completely different setting and will present different issues that I feel this course has opened my eyes to. Before taking the course, I was unsure of how I could ever teach a class of true beginners in english, but I feel totally confident now and I actually feel qualified to teach. The course provides a strong foundation for teaching english by providing teaching ideas, tips, methods, and practice with writing lesson plans. Before the course, I knew I had enough knowledge and understanding of the language to teach, but I didn’t have the necessary knowledge of how to convey the knowledge in an organized or logical manner.
