This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I think I've learned a lot, but I also have learned that I need to do a lot more study of english grammar. Also, even though I think my knowledge of grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary are pretty good, I've got to come up with engaging, fun and professional ways to get that knowledge transferred to various people from a wide variety of occupations and life. To do it properly, I'm going to have to make sure I'm always ready for class.
I plan on doing a lesson plan for all classes. I may drift from it a bit, but I think it's a good tool to make sure my lessons are organized and that I understand myself what the learning objectives are for the given lesson, as well as how to get them across to the students. A good lesson plan will also help me keep my search for classroom material focused on that particular lesson.
