Volunteer TeachingWhat is volunteer teaching? Let’s take a look at it and its benefits. Our reason for taking this course is to be able to volunteer teaching. Because in many countries people do not have the opportunity to learn a second language, many of them do not get to go to school as they cannot afford the books, uniforms and shoes that are needed. So they cannot get employment, but if they can learn english they have opportunity for work which they didn't have before. There are those that do get to go to school and college and if they can learn english they have opportunities for even better jobs. We find that the students are very appreciative of the fact that we have come to help them learn a language that is spoken in a lot of places in the world. It also gives them opportunity to travel to these countries for further education if that is their choice and they have opportunity for employment in these countries. When you volunteer to teach the students know that you are interested in them you are not there just to make money. We have found that as far as any needs we may have, housing etc. they have always been supplied in super abundance. In most of these countries where you go to volunteer you would not be allowed to earn money, unless you taught in an established school for english where only the very rich can afford to go. So that is why we volunteer because we believe everyone should have an opportunity for education, this way we help to balance it out. Volunteering also opens up a whole new world for yourself as well. It is an adventure to visit other countries and people of a different culture. It would be a great experience for every person to have. You can almost go any country that you might like to see by volunteering and to teach them english you give them something they will have for the rest of their lives. I must tell you about an elderly lady who had volunteered most of her life, teaching english. She told us it was the most rewarding thing she had ever done. Even though she no longer could do it because of her health, she receives many letters from students she has taught, thanking her for what she did for them. So if you have completed an english course you have an open door to volunteer teaching and travel to another country to use what you have learned to make a difference in someone else’s life as well as having an adventure in your life. Volunteers are a very important part of our world they make the world a better place to live in. There are many different areas you can volunteer in, you can work with youth, the elderly, or giving assistance were disasters have taken place this is only a few. Volunteers truly made a difference. But one of the most rewarding is to teach and give people something they can use for the rest of their lives to better themselves. So if you have completed the course you have the capability to make a difference in lives. So go volunteer teaching and we know you will be rewarded.
