This course has opened my eyes to how involved the teaching of english can and should be for the teacher. I have learnt that you must plan ahead for everything including possible challenges as the teacher in explanation as well as understanding problems for the student. It has given me a good foot to start on in preparing me for the ‘teacher’ position. Also, it has shown me how much more I need to learn to become a better teacher in the future. I plan to use all that I have learned during this course in teaching english in Guatemala. How? Well, practice, lots and lots of practice. Using the lesson plans as a guide to start.
