As a native english teacher already in the field of teaching in a foreign country and in a monolingual environment, I feel I have gained a tremendous insight into teaching methods, techniques, evaluation of myself and students, structuring better lessons and improve planning. Moreover, I have learnt an enormous amount of new ideas, teaching concepts, improved skills, a broader knowledge of materials and how to use them with delivering more effective results in teaching.
Nevertheless, I have gained a greater knowledge and awareness of the wider variety of students, while knowing more about how to assess and meet their needs. This course has covered a very wide area of important facts pertaining to teaching grammar, phonetics, tenses and a broad range of subjects that will assist me to become an improved efficient teacher.
Therefore, my plan of action will be to introduce all the valuable knowledge and skills I have learnt from TESOL into providing more effective, realistic and practical teaching methods that will give my students greater skills and knowledge with their careers or future studies. My primary goal for learning TESOL with 'ITTT' is to improve two essentially equal elements in my life, firstly to become the best teacher I can, thus effectively improving the english abilities and future possibilities for my students. I wish to initiate and apply all of what I have learnt from TESOL with planning, preparing and actualizing the strategies, skills, knowledge of english teaching, planning, using materials, equipment and classroom management as soon as the new school years begins.
Overall, TESOL has covered everything I expected and much more in my experience with studying the 20 units. This course is extensive and has far reaching benefits for improving teaching quality, teachers and consequently the students. Conclusively, the tutor, staff and course support has been excellent, as a result I feel completely confident in becoming an actual ESL teacher from an excellent TESOL/TEFL education.
