This course has been a tremendous help for me in learning how to be a great TEFL teacher. I had no idea about lesson plans being formed around ESA, but now that I have read about it and how well it works I am very excited to start teaching and using the method. I feel so much more confident and prepared now, because the course offered me a lot of information and ideas, but more importantly, it stimulated my creative thinking and forced me to think of ideas for myself. I was nervous that my students might become bored in class, because I have been in language classes that have been miserable. Now, I see that there an infinite number of ways to make learning fun and get the students involved and participating. I have also learned how important feedback from the students is. They are the primary focus, thus they should be asked regularly what can be improved and what is working for them. This is the only way to ensure that they are learning to the best of their ability. Thus, I need to be able to admit when an activity/approach is not working and change it to better suit the students' needs. Overall, this course has made me feel much more comfortable about being a teacher and has calmed some of my fears. I am so grateful for this, because a teacher that lacks confidence in the classroom is not good for anyone!
