I would prefer having students do the following: - very simple story writing for simple present tense and getting them to talk about their own habits - joyful charts or pictures to get them to tell what they see by using present continuous and with simple daily conversations I'd ask them to tell what others are doing - instant actions to demonsrate the usage of present perfect tense like losing a key, finding a belongin, etc and giving examples about what they have done which has results in speaking time - getting them to create small role-plays which will reflect the usage of present perfect continuous tense and for example very long actions that they have been doing with their families Combining miming and visual materials for teaching present tenses is a very practical way in language teaching...

When creating lessons for your classes a course book can be a helpful tool...
