Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
The lesson planning in this unit makes perfect sense, and although I learned years ago to use it, with the experience I just stopped using it. But now I am more willing to use it again. On the other side, I haven't been practicing self-evaluation in the way shown here, but I can begin doing it.The unit is a compact but rather good overview on how a teacher should act when facing different kinds of learners. It seems pretty logical that special groups of students need a specific behaviour from teachers and to have such guidelines such as these presented in the unit is something great. This unit was about modals, phrasal verbs, and passive voice. This has been the most difficult unit for me to date because even when I read the descriptions, I did not always understand. I have learned teaching ideas that would help me portray these grammar rules to a nonnative English speaker.
