Pat from Malaysia is living and working as an accountant in Singapore. In her TEFL review video Pat tells us how she has been considering teaching English as a new career, which is why she decided to take the 120-hour online course with tutor support and videos from ITTT. Some interesting topics about the material used in the classroom. Although unintentionally, I remember myself approaching teaching in this similar way, having a mix of both authentic and created materials to suit the student. Although it wasn't English teaching, I guess it becomes pretty similar.This section contains a summary of the teacher-student relationship, especially regarding what to do (or not to do) as a teacher in a classroom of adult learners. As a relatively new teacher, I felt that this information was quite useful since I have not been in a formal classroom setting before.I have learnt in this unit how to maintain the control in the class without being offensive to anyone. it also gave me the idea how to manage the seating of the student and how it can affect the teaching style. In addition the teacher's role is continuously changing according to the lesson needs.
