This course was challenging especially trying to read the phonetic script. It makes me realize that learning a new language, not only the speaking of it but the learning to write it is very challenging. We take it for granted that we can read and write English. I enjoyed this lesson very muchModal verbs and formality and usage make sure that the learner knows when to use specific grammar terms in correct situations. Not knowing how to use these may lead to comprehension breakdown on both sides, and therefore it is important that they learn both how to utilise and to understand them.This unit offers a tremendous amount of resources that I find most useful. This information can be kept and referred to as you go along. It is nice to know what to expect in the different schools and cultures regarding tools and aids available in the classroom. This unit was very interesting.
