This was a very interesting unit. I found some of the questions confusing and ideas of how to manage a class, different to what I am used to in Mexico.The section on discipline was really enlightening, as this is where I sometimes have problems with children that do not want to be in the class.This is a helpful unit for me, because I see my future ESL role as a teacher of composition. I believe this material attends a little more to matters of speaking than writing, however, and I would have liked to see more balance through the description of more writing instruction techniques.Throughout this unit I have learned the general learning and development theories to keep in mind. I thoroughly enjoyed this unit, seeing as one of my majors was Psychology. I have also learned what students want and need from a lesson and how to adapt my methods to the changes that take place.
