This unit taught me different ways to assess a student's language level and progress. Specifically, practice test should be given in the format and structure of the external examination that the students seeks to take. I also leaned the differences between each external examination. This was a very difficult unit for me. I often get these tenses mixed up, especially present continuous and present perfect continuous. It’s very hard to distinguish witch tense a sentence fall under because as native speakers we never learn to put sentences in these catagories. The information from the unit was given to me in the university, so I refreshed the phonology and groups of sounds in my memory. I learnt the techniques to teach the pronunciation and intonation in class. I found the Hints of pronunciation for foreigners a very useful thing to teach.
