This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this fascinating unit about pronunciation and phonology, intonation patterns(rise/fall, fall/rise, flat, rising or falling intonations) as well as stressed words or syllables and sound joining were elaborated. I therefore found particularly interesting to get to understand and use the phonemic alphabet which I was never taught and is a great asset. The articulation section also taught me a lot of new facts as it went through the speech organs, manner and place of articulation along with, as usual, some matching teaching skills. overall, I now feel prepared to help students with their pronunciation.
