Lesson Plans are important to have for teachers as it gives of a document to work from and a frame from which to build ESA based lessons. By having these on hand and being able to have a logical structure to work from we are better equipped to handle the needs of a class of many students. In addition, particularly for the activate phase, it gives us knowledge of what materials and teaching aids we might need. Professionally, having a Lesson Plan helps us in practical manners as well. Namely if we have to take a day off, we can give our Lesson Plan to our substitute so they have knowledge of the class and an idea of what to do. It also gives us credibility as far as adherence to any syllabus that an organization may have.
