i think this was a great unit! to watch how the same subject can be taught very very differently, by the same teacher with the same students. i hated the first video, it made me feel very uncomfortable, and i had to skip some parts of it because it was very boring and i couldn't help but feeling bad for the students, how they wouldn't participate for fear that the teacher might have laughed at them, or simply because they were not getting any of the things he was saying. He was going so fast, and very vague about the modal auxiliary verbs, i am positive they didn't learn anything that day.
On the other hand, the second class was so interesting and funny! i wish i could have been there too, to participate and laugh and have a nice time while learning. you can tell that the students speak very little English, but i am sure they understood and learnt a lot from that class.
