Unit 15 briefly goes over evaluations and widely known English tests. Topics within the unit include the main types of tests, such as placement tests, progress tests, diagnostic tests, and practice tests. The unit also explains general external English exams such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, and the Cambridge Assessments.
The main thing that I took away from this unit was that English really does seem to be a global language. It is taught all over the world and there are also multiple and widely used tests that are administered to grade individual?s skills and fluency in the language. I hope that if one day my students decide to take any of these tests that I was able to help them achieve their goals in some way.
