This unit touches on the importance of lesson planning and helped me understand why flexibility within a lesson is so important. As a very by-the-book person, it can sometimes be challenging for me to not have a plan written down with specific details all the time. As I become a more experienced teacher I will be able to be more and more flexible while not being as strict with my lesson planning. One very important point of this unit is that not only should teachers be constantly evaluating their students' performance in the classroom, but their own as well. A teacher who continues to develop, grow, and learn themselves from every lesson will help their students be that much more successful in the real world.
