This unit explains the importance of lesson plans and what should be included in an effective lesson plan. A lesson plan is important because it helps a teacher plan out his/her lessons logically, it serves as a document and gives the teacher something to refer to during the lesson and it acts as a record of what the teacher has taught to the class. This chapter also emphasises that as much as it is important to plan your lessons step by step, it is equally important to be flexible to the needs of the students. This unit also introduces a \"self evaluation form\" where the teacher monitors and records down his/her lessons in order to maintain/improve the quality of his/her lessons.
