The focus of this unit was brief explanations of the basic rules of English grammar and sentence structure. It introduced the parts of speech, such as nouns, verbs, and adjectives, as well as more complicated grammar like pronoun, preposition, and conjugation usage within a sentence. I enjoyed this section, particularly relearning rules I had previously forgotten; however, I have realized that the amount of irregularities and unfixed rules within the English language will definitely prove a challenge for students to master. Giving myself a solid knowledge base of these confusing concepts will hopefully help my students stay motivated and learn the material quickly.
