Overall, this unit featured aspects of evaluating and testing students language skills. This unit looked at 3 ways to assess a student language level. These are 1) Tutorials 2) Evaluation by the students 3) Tests.
Several types of tests were listed and discussed ranging from placement test all the way to external examinations. Each test were explained in detail. Also the unit stated subcategories of general external examinations.
I learnt that assessing and evaluation student can take many forms. And these factors depends on various aspects. I learnt about the various tests of test and each purpose they serve as.I was also made aware of the academic qualifications that are necessary to gain entry into universities or colleges by a non-native English speaker.
