This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit covered the manners in which a teacher should evaluate and test students. The three basic ways a teacher can evaluate students are through tutorials, evaluation by students, and commonly through testing. The main types of tests conducted in the classroom are placement tests, diagnostic tests, practice tests and progress tests. The most similar to each other are diagnostic and placement tests. These are both given at the start or before the course to measure the students language level. Practice tests are modeled after external exams to prepare students before they take these exams. The progress tests should be given to the students to evaluate how much information has been understood and retained. Finally some external exams were mentioned in brief including the TOEFL, IELTS, and TOEIC.
