This unit reminded me of the different modal auxiliary verbs and it is used in conversation. Although I used auxiliary verbs every day, I never pay attention to the rules and the use. These rules are important to know when teaching English language learners.
The use of passive and active voice is important when communicating. What?s most important is the correct used of it and its tense. The rules reminded me the use of poor grammar and correct grammar. It is always good to hear the common mistakes students will make so you have a better idea on how to correct them.
Relative Clauses and phrasal verbs are skills higher performing students will use. The rule for each may seem a little confusing to the learner but it requires them to have sound understanding of English language/grammar.
