This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
As for the unit eleven, this unit deals with basic skills in language but focuses on producing skills - speaking and writing. we can learn, going through this chapter, that when people communicate with each other they could actually be doing it for reasons and that therefore teacher when introducing activities to the students should take into account these reasons or factors. Among these factors are the interest in what is being said, the desire to listen or to say something, and the need to communicate for a specific purpose. In this unit is also evoked two notions that are essential concerning the speaking, accuracy and fluency. Accuracy and fluency are qualities that students should develop through appropriate activities. when accuracy activities concentrate on producing correct language, fluency activities on the other hand are there to allow students to experiment and be creative with language.
As far as the writing skills are concerned, we learnt that there is a number of differences which seperates them from speaking. These differences are related not only to grammar points and vocabulary, but also encompass spelling, handwriting, layout, and punctuation.
