The present tense can be very difficult for beginners in the English language and it is the job of the teachers to help them distinguish the forms of each types of present tense. The Present Simple tense can be easily identified on what the situation is at the moment. The Present Continuous tense can be identified with the verb having the -ing form. The Present Perfect tense can be identified if the sentence is containing the auxiliary verb \"have\" plus the past participle of the sentence meanwhile the Present Perfect Continuous tense contains the auxiliary verb \"have\" plus the verb having the -ing form. It is easy to look at the structure and identify the tenses but sentences have to be regularly formed for the students to be capable of determining and forming the sentences with the correct tenses naturally.
