Unit 17 covers the teaching aids that are available and useful in the teaching of English. The aids help to cover all types of learning styles whether the students learn from visual, audio or physical. By using a mixture of the aids, the largest percentage of students would be able to retain the largest amount of material. From the material it is easy to understand both the positives and negatives of each form of aid. From my teaching I tended to rely more on computer(youtube) and visual aids( flash cards, toys/ real object);however, I was also teaching kindergarten so I would also rely on physical movement such as games. I am actually surprised not to see information on using physical movement/games as teaching aids. The biggest things with the aids is making sure they are both age appropriate and level appropriate.
