Unit number 4 shows us the vocabulary, grammar and the functions of these. In my case I learnt that is important to know to choose the vocabulary to be taught during a lesson and the factors we need to take into account to choose it. Most of the times we just throw vocabulary to the students and we don't really check if it is going to be useful for them. We need to focus on language that is going to be put into practice and is relevant for the class. It's not just giving words and their meanings we need to know there are many other things to take into account such as: pronunciation vs spelling, the function of the word and when to use it. For example if I am talking about the word \"purple\" explaining the correct pronunciation is necessary, also let students know it is an adjective and that they can use it to describe things.
