This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit covered conditionals, a very tedious aspect of English grammar. Conditionals refer to past, present, or perfect possibilities. Conditionals have two clauses, the 'if' clause and the main clause. The clauses can go in either order. The five main conditionals are zero, first, second, third, and mixed. The third conditional refers to hypothetical past action and the hypothetical past result. The mixed conditional is a combination of the second conditional clause with a third conditional clause.I have learnt a lot of new things in this unit. Some of which I may have been exposed to before but have forgotten. Things like how to use the mouth to produce various sounds and the importance of word stress in innotation which communicates certain emotions in a sentence. The International Phonetic Alphabet was actually quite new to me in the sense that I have never before studied it until now.I have also learned how the voice is used in terms of volume and pitch in a sentence(rise/fall or fall/rise)
