The Unit revolves around evaluating and testing students, be it Placement, Progress, Diagnostic, Practice or External tests. The objectives of each of these tests are clearly stated as well as easily inferable from their names. In the case of Progress and Diagnostic tests it's also discussed how frequently they might take place during the course and it's advantages; while it may vary in each case, it's still a very important factor to keep in mind. I found the section on External tests very interesting and informative.I found this unit incredibly interesting. It was so useful to watch real classroom experiences, and to observe good and bad techniques of a teacher. I found myself constantly critiquing the teacher in lesson 1, as there were so many things he could have done better. It was almost painful to watch as you could see how much the students were struggling to understand anything. The difference in atmosphere was incredibly contrasting between the two lessons, and you could tell this within the first 10 seconds of each video.
