This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit gave me an understanding of how reading and listening works when we come across new things for the first time. The reasons and motives for learning can be different, and when there is no motivation, teacher's aim is to create it through communication with students, which also develops their listening and speaking skills. So the teacher should always be interested in making the class as active and involved as possible. I believe, that even if sometimes the topic is pretty dull, there is always the way how to make is more interesting and useful for students.
I remember while learning Chinese language, I had to write down what I've heard and find appropriate characters to make the sentence have a mining, after that, I started \"write\" new phrases in my mind and get the understanding much faster. So such skills like predictivity, skimming and deducting seem most important for me.
