Good and correct pronunciation is so important to have for every English teachers.I have learnt about phonology, intonation, stress, sound joining,linked speech. Besides, I have learnt about the phonemic alphabet. I understood phonemic symbols, type of phonemic symbols. I discovered the part of articulation: the speech organs, place of articulation, manner of articulation. I have learnt about teaching techniques for the pronunciation of individual sounds.Also, I understand when teacher should teach pronunciation. It was important unit for developing teaching skills.In this unit, I learned about troubleshooting. The unit discussed several difficult situations that might come up in an ESL classroom and how to professionally deal with them. In the beginning, the unit talked about activities and aims for a first lesson with a new class. Next, examples of warmer activities and ideas for teaching students of different levels were provided. Then, methods for large classes were discussed. In addition, the unit went over tips for getting reluctant students to participate more in a class and also how help students with their listening skills.
