I have learnt from this unit that a good teacher should be fair, have good knowledge of the subject and be able to motivate his/her students. The role of a teacherlargely depends on the type of activity and what he/she wants the students to achieve; and also a teacher should switch the roles approprietly.
As for a good learner, there are some factors which a teacher should take into consideration during the teaching process, such as age (especially because different age groups of students have different motivation, experience and behaviour), culture, language level and motivation. A good learner should have a willingness to learn, ask questions, have desire to experiment with the language and not to be afraid of making mistakes. This is the teacher's responsibility to encourage all these in the classroom. A good teacher also should identify correctly the level of language which his students have to organize correct management, assessment and monitoring in the class.
