This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this unit I have learned that writing and speaking are both productive skills that can always be improved. When focusing on accuracy of how the language is spoken I believe by writing practice it can give the students the visual aid they need to produce an accurate response when speaking. The importance of punctuation, spelling and other grammar rules are put into practice. I believe once basic reading and instruction supporting exposure of how a sentenced is formed, the idea of fluency may come more natural to the student. However it is the teachers key priority to be as low key as possible to maximize student talk time so there can be unrestricted experimentation in developing fluency with the language. I have learned and experienced that games can strongly aid fluency just by interaction alone.
