I think this unit does well to give some warnings to the learner of what not to do with some equipment. However, for the test, there are some questions that I believe are based on general knowledge too. For example, the most common used tool for grammar during the study phase is a worksheet. I was surprised that this unit stated that cassettes are the most useful tool. I feel like many language learners do not think about recording themselves even though they should. Singers also do it for learning notes, why not English learners for pronunciation? However, I also feel like cassettes are also out of date. I wonder if the writer mean just recordings in general. I think it will be especially useful for students to record themselves but hard for teachers to check or enforce such extra work especially in a big classroom.
