This unit covers modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice. Modals are words that add depth to the primary verb within the sentence. They are usually followed by another verb but in its base form. The passive voice is used to state that an action occurred without expressing who executed it. Lastly, phrasal verbs are made up of a verb plus one or two prepositions, adverb or a combination of both. In this unit, I learned that it is important not to be intimidated by phrasal verbs. It is important to teach it using a topic that the class can easily identify with such as their favorite tv show or idol.
