Unit 9 speaks about the importance of lesson planning, the advantages of being organised and what exactly should be included in a lesson plan. It discusses being organised versus being rigid and inflexible, and elaborates on reasons for a flexible lesson plan, and how to 'plan' it in. The unit gives an example of a lesson plan for beginner level, and the detailed procedure appropriate to deliver the lesson, however I was disappointed that there were not more examples given. The beginner level is rather simple to construct, and I personally would have found it useful to see other examples such as intermediate and advanced levels, with a more advanced procedure like boomerang ESA structure applied.
In addition, unit 9 refers to the importance of monitoring your own lessons, so that teachers can evaluate how effective and successful their lesson worked out to be, and strive to improve areas that have not had the most desired effect.
