The topic of discussion for Unit 9 was Lesson Planning. Lesson plans are an aid to help planning. They act as both a working document and as a record. These plans should be simple and easy to adjust. Teachers should stay away from trying to script a lesson. Two important things that should be included in a lesson are learner objectives and personal aims. While there are obviously other important things needed for a lesson plan I chose to only highlight two. Having an objective for the student will make sure the students accomplish what they should by the end of the lesson. Having personal aims for a teacher will keep their practice interesting, fresh, and ultimately it will keep their skills improving.
