This unit was about the part tense. It drew attention to the similarities of the forms of present tenses and, as yet not covered, future tenses. This unit also covered, again, regular and irregular verbs. I find when I teach this, it's easier to point out the rules of the grammar usage than the situations in which the forms are used. English is a difficult subject to teach when the learning culture does not have equal tenses and/or structures. Sometimes students have trouble figuring out if an action happened before another action and continued, happened simultaneously with another action, finished before another action started, etc. But, in my experience, if they can grasp the grammar structure, it will inform them of the function. I will incorporate some of the teaching suggestions listed here. I like the idea of \"detective\" the most.
