Modal verbs vary in their use, in this unit I have learned of the importance and usage phrasal verbs and passive voice. When modals are put into use they usually can express advice, prediction, prohibition, requests and have more other usages. The word can as an example, can be used in a veriety of ways, such as either a possibilty or as a request. In addressing passive or active voice we would take a sentence and identify the agent and the subject. In active voice the agent has a large focus in compared to passive voice, which put emphasis on the subject and is usually mentioned first in a passive voice sentence.
